Mad Hatters

Here we go again! Everyone looked so cool with there mad hairstyles . I hope the judges had a good time judging us. Well done for those who came first and second for their hairstyles! Zander put tin foil in his hair so they looked like spikes. Louisa had newspaper flowers and plastic weaved into her hair. Georgia put pine cones as hair rollers and Rosie pegs on top of her head and plaits going down. Louisa won a prize!

Mad maniacs

On Mad Hair Day everyone was nervous because only 24 certificates we being handed out and we all wanted one!!! but everyone Loved the day. Everyone did well but Jessie got a certificate for Culture Vutlure and Flynn got a certificate for Reuse, Reduce, Restyle. Ella also did very well to0.

The magic ice project

On Thursday 26 April we did a science project on ice balloons. First we had to draw a picture and
we had to copy the inside of the ice. The bubbles were in the water but it froze to fast in the freezer but it melted quickly in the sun but when we put salt on the ice it melted more slowly. We think they put salt down on the road so it is not so icy and slippery. When our group put green food colouring on the cracks it looked like green lightening. On the inside it looked like a baby mouse.

Ice age science

On Thursday 26 April Room 6 got to look at ice balloons. I think that the water that Brownie put in the balloon made bubbles and when Brownie put it in the freezer the bubbles froze because the air was trapped. We saw the ice balloon crackle when Emma put salt on the ice balloon and the salt was slowing the ice balloon down from melting. Then Michael put green food colouring on the other ice balloon. Someone suggested we put salt on the ice balloon with the food colouring and the ice balloon crackled . We were really amazed because the food colouring melted into the ice. The salt turned green because of the food colouring.

Awesome Awesome US!!!

On Thursday 26 of April Megan Shaun and Jaydn did a science experiment with ice balloons. There were bubbles in the ice we found out that there is air inside the ice balloons so air has been trapped inside. Water has air inside which caused the bubbles and cracks. We poured salt on one ice balloon t it started to crack - it made a sound and then the salt turned into ice. The ice melted slower. Next we poured green food colouring on another ice balloon and it turned green and then we added salt and it started to crackle and fizz with green sparks. It was cool!

A Crazy Superb DAY!!!

On funky Friday the 28th of April it was mad hair day and everyone had wacky hair. It was funny because everyone in the school had weird hair! Lot's of people had loads of fun there was lots of funny styles. There were three events, Culture Vulture, Reduce, Reuse Restyle and Bizarre. A man came in with a camera and took pictures of the winners and put it in the newspaper!
Sarsha won a prize for bizarre in yellow house. All the houses walked around the other houses one by one and cheered.It was an amazing day for all of us. Thank you house leaders.

mad hair day

We had a mad mad hair day. Our mad hair day was fantastic because people had different types of hair styles, we got to do things that we wouldn't normally do at school like messing up your hair - spray paint and some people shaved their hair. On mad hair day there were winners for every house and there's 4 houses: blue house, red house, green house and yellow house. Michael got a prize for Reduce Reuse Restyle. It was a Video Easy Card.
